I’m always trying new ways to convey layers of data without over-saturating the visuals. Here’s a different approach looking at COVID-19 deaths by state. I put them on independent axis so the per 100K probably isn’t needed but you can eye the comparison and still digest the info.
The THICKNESS of the line denotes the number of cases per 100K reported that day. You can see big BULBS of dark nodes on certain days - especially of late.
