Decoding the Censorship Industrial Complex: A Deep Dive into the CTIL (Cyber Threat Intelligence League)

A whistleblower has shed light on the operations of an "anti-disinformation" group known as the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL). Once a conglomerate of data scientists and defense veterans, the CTIL has significantly influenced projects within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) starting wayyy back in 2018.

A former British intelligence analyst and CTIL leader is accused of coordinating counter-disinformation efforts starting potentially in the last days of the Obama administration, with the intent of preventing a repetition of 2016's political upheavals (as seen by the Left). The CTIL's work has forged what we now identify as the Censorship Industrial Complex, provocatively involved in encouraging social media platforms to perform censorship duties and spread narratives about unpopular individuals and issues. The Censorship Industrial Complex comprises over 100 governmental and non-governmental organizations. The DHS's Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA) lies at the crux of this censorship movement, with the National Science Foundation financing anti-disinformation tools' creation.

Perhaps more concerning is the deployment of techniques initially designed for foreign entities against American citizens. Internal documents reveal that in 2019, US and UK military contractors led by Sara-Jayne Terp painstakingly designed and implemented a framework for sweeping censorship. Terp and her allies drafted a strategy to address misinformation and influence, named Adversarial Misinformation and Influence Tactics and Techniques (AMITT), subsequently used to combat "anti-vaccination campaigns across Europe" by the World Health Organization through the developed DISARM framework.

The whistleblower attests several CTIL participants worked with the FBI or CISA, affirming that CTIL's ultimate goal was to become part of the federal government. As unveiled through the documents, the crux of the strategy is "cognitive security," essentially a strategy to combat “pollution” of the digital information sphere. The culmination of this effort appears to be the representation of a meticulously coordinated US and UK governmental effort aimed at orchestrating domestic censorship and influence operations on a scale similar to those implemented internationally.

This series of events ultimately laid the groundwork for what we many of came to know FIRST HAND - vast and sweeping censorship of Americans by proxy originated by our own government. In the coming weeks and months, these materials will be presented to congressional investigators, revealing the gravity of CTIL's clandestine operations and raising critical questions about the nature and scope of information censorship and control.
