This is completely wrong. CDC "recommendations" end up having the force of regulation, as groups throughout society accept those recommendations and enforce them.
We need to accept that structural imperatives will always ensure that the CDC will be captured by the White House or industry, and so it cannot be reformed. We need to accept that the CDC is doing more harm than good.
And therefore, we need to demand simple abolition of the CDC. Don't let the ideal of a "good" CDC act as an enabler for the "bad" CDC we will inevitably get. Just abolish it. It isn't needed.
The CDC was compromised the minute they injected themselves into the gun control debate years ago. They even had to be restricted to prevent them shilling for it.
Shut them down, and make sure they know every single reason why it's happening to them.
Get rid of the CDC, get rid of the National Institute for Health, get rid of any agency that could be used by the communist democrats to shut down the country again.
In an ideal world, that might work. As others have commented, CDC is too far gone. There is no public trust in any federal, state, or local health agency anymore. Yet, there is a need. However, Big Pharma must first be destroyed to even consider such a move. And as I destroyed, prohibited from ever lobbying anyone or any body ever again because of the harm they have wrought upon this world. And in particular, those in power in Big Pharma must also be destroyed and all wealth/profits/assets clawed back for the damage they have done. Tough noogies for pension funds.

Our betters are working on it & not hiding it as we write - that paragon of public health & safety, beholden to none & w/ only the most benevolent of motives - WHO will be the ultimate authority, even able to subvert our Constitution when that demented puppet in the White House signs it - & he will or Knee Pads Harris will if he’s finally declared incompetent.
