The CDC has been quietly updating tables in the backend. Their army of data gatherers has now updated tables showing the impact on a county level of stay-at-home orders. Spoiler alert: it didn’t make a difference.
Comparing counties with stay-at-home mandates in places vs no mandates there is very little light between the two. In fact, the case can be made that those counties with mandates fared worse.
