Thanks for the well written analysis.. it’s is polite to argue the case as you have done, but to those of us who live in Australia we see the same pattern repeated all over the world...and over and over again... that our politicians don’t come up with this sort of legislation, it’s is derived from and ultimately imposed from institutions like the UN and the US government, WEF etc and yes with a strong communist agenda..

That censorship is damaging is obvious, that these arrogant but ignorant politicians have the gall to implement these policies is astounding given what an amazing country Australia has been... and it’s values of freedom from tyranny..that stem back to convicts mostly unjustly punished and exiled to this land that became a land of great freedom and promise....yet now there is almost zero respect for politicians these days ... we watched both parties turn their back on the honest few in Covid..who repeatedly drew attention in parliament to the fraud that was being perpetrated on the Australian people... gutless, corrupt and ignorant of where they are headed.. to communist technocrats & state control... the Albanese government is wedded to this agenda but it is also obvious they are blackmailed by the USA to comply or face China alone..

so these comments are less polite but get to the heart of the matter.. I pray for the USA to be what God purposed it to be an eagle of freedom and a nation unto God... and Australia to be the convicts sets free by Christ..

calling it soviet style is unfortunate. The soviets had about as much censorship has the west has had. Such comments furhter the russophobic nonsense (and anti communist) that you see in the NYTimes.
