In 2019, my youngest thankfully transferred from Pace in NYC to UT Knoxville. Being in TN, they never got too crazy there since they have a more politically diverse staff and student body. She moved off campus the summer of 2020 to live with some friends so her social life has remained fairly normal.
Thank you for speaking out for these students. I know one with a disability & trouble forming social relationships who was nearly completely cut off from the world in senior year of college with only 1 in-person class that was distanced and masked. I know another who was a victim of the college's COVID testing method in which 12 students' saliva was combined into a batch. Every time 1 of the 12 was positive (never this student), everyone had to be re-tested and quarantine until they found out which of the 12 was positive--often not finding out until after 10 days had passed. Missed weeks of classes and work for no reason. State University of New York (headed by Cuomo partner in crime Jim Malatras), I'm talking about you!
