All CO schools have mask mandates in the metro area. There is no statewide mandate, but the teachers union made sure the mandates were by district. In fact, Douglas county health department issued a rule that masks are optional and up to parents, and the school board (candidates all controlled by the teacher’s union) sued the health department so masks would be mandatory. I don’t understand anyone who believes the teachers unions care about children.
Seattle Public Schools just let parents know TODAY there will not be school on Friday because a large number of teachers are taking the day off and they don't "think" they have subs to cover all the absent teachers.
Here we go Justin: this is nationwide. I think this is union driven. Perhaps to increase vax uptake to scare parents if kids aren’t vaxed, the teachers won’t work.
Boulder Valley, Adams 12 and Adams 14. They aren’t calling it mental health, the teachers are taking the day off so they are short staffed. Seems planned to me.
Alaska says it doesn't have a mask mandate for schools, but trust me, they still require them.

I think this is nationwide. Some sort of “statement” by teachers and unions.
Chicago was having a similar issue, and I’m researching my own state.
So it may be a protest against mandates. I hope so. ✊🏼
Perhaps. But I doubt in Colorado. The teachers love feeling “safe” with the mandates.
ughhhhh
Why are they taking the day off?
Because they can? Because they want a 4-day weekend? I don't know.

And then here, in the Peoples Republic of NY, a Buffalo suburban school district gets their hand slapped by the Erie Co DOH for “mask breaks”
