I just read this passage in Matthew yesterday. Somedays, the only way to make it through these times is by reading scripture. Peter denied Christ 3 times. Christ arose on the 3rd day. There are many others.

When I was a kid, we had a saying, that went, "If you let them ride, [eventually] they will want to drive." We have entertained, accepted, and far too often honored, the edicts and mandates of complete idiots for far too long for them to back away from the edge. The trials, like the beatings in the old adage, will continue until morale improves.
I was one to never mask. Didn't stay home (in fact worked in a center like normal). County had a mask requirement which I didn't follow. My supervisor called me into his office cause others complained but in the end said he couldn't make me and didn't. If a store required masks I didn't shop there and then called to tell them when I got home. Was ready to quit rather than get the jibberjabber. I am one of the lucky as is my partner and my 2 20 yr old kids.
Not long ago I listened to Dan Carlin's history podcast on the ancient world war of Rome vs. Carthage.
Carthage had some great hits from the genius of their general Hannibal. but Hannibal did not bring an end to Rome, and when he was gone, eventually the Romans made their way to Carthage itself.
Rome made three demands. Not at once, mind you. One after the other.
FIRST: Give us hostages, and there will be peace.
Those familiar with Game of Thrones will recognize that. Children of people of influenced were handed over to the Romans, like Theon Greyjoy leaving his father to enter the home of the Starks as insurance for good behavior. There was tears and farewells and prayers. Surely once the hostages were given, the Romans would leave Carthage in peace?
Oh no.
SECOND: Give us your weapons.
Surely, Rome would leave if Carthage was unarmed? The Carthaginians debated but eventually gave in, perhaps for fear of their children now held hostage. Swords, spears, darts, javelins, arrows, rocks for catapults -- all given up to the Romans. Would they leave Carthage in peace?
Oh no.
THIRD: Abandon the city of Carthage altogether, move 15 miles inland, and rebuild your city there, far from the waterways and ocean trade that was the basis of Carthage's economy.
"When we said we would spare Carthage," explained the Romans, "We meant the Carthaginians. You don't need these buildings and houses and public places. Start over again, in a place where you will not have your stronghold of maritime trade."
Finally the Carthaginians understood. Those leaders who went along with the first two demands were pummeled. They slammed the gates shut. The workshops worked day and night, 24/7, to make new weapons. Women shaved their heads so their hair could be used to string bows. For three years, Carthage held out. I think it essential to remember, and to discover, as the case may be, that there were people who stood up to lockdowns and masks, right at the beginning. Of course they were a minority and their words and videos censored and shadow-banned.

For the first test, my response was that if the lockdowns actually kept the virus at bay, you’d be morally obligated to stay locked down forever, and if they didn’t work, we would ruin a lot of lives for no reason. If we had not failed this first simple logic test, we would have avoided so much pain.

I currently have an active civil rights complaint going against Dollar Tree Stores for not only refusing service to me in their 'public accommodation', but also for calling the police because I wouldn't "comply". The complaint has been going on for TWO YEARS now, and Dollar Tree has tried to drag it out as long as possible. I will not back down, and the State has tried multiple times to 'dismiss' my complaint or get me to drop it because it's turning into something of a 'hot potato'. So it goes...
This reminds me of the 'THREE chances' I was given back in the 1960s to step across the line at the 'induction center' for the military in downtown L.A. It was an actual line, yellow I think, painted on the floor of one of the offices set aside as the 'oath room'. Out of about 300-400 young guys going through there that day, there were THREE of us left at the end of the day who were still refusing to take the oath and get on the bus. After the military types were done threatening us, I was the only one left who refused all THREE chances to step over the line and become property of the State.
My integrity is something I have never bargained with ; NO PTSD or regrets.
It seems to me this article misses the point. You forget to discuss the manipulation that was involved. The criminal activity around bullshit studies. How we handled our elderly in nursing homes. The death sentence that is and was the ventilator. The PCR TESTS and how they were used to create a panic by rigging positive outcomes to the presence of CORONA VIRUS, not necessarily SARS-COV-2 and not COVID-19. Mischarterizing death from other illnesses such as COVID-19 death etc.
I wish I had a better answer for excess deaths. I'm sure it has something to so with statistics and timeframe of deaths but we need a better answer do why a 15-30% Increase and why is there an ok increase in 2022 to those under 60 ( likely the vaccine)
