Your articles were invaluable as I prepared the case against masks in “Letter to the Oregon Health Authority” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-the-oregon-health-authority), in which I demonstrated that masks:
• do not prevent the spread of COVID
• may cause physical health problems
• may inflict psychological harm
• pose a special threat to children and teens

What we are dealing with is the greatest betrayal of trust that has ever happened in human history. Short overview of what happened, how it happened, and possible directions where things might progress into.
Those who pushed lockdowns and school closures have a lot to answer for. They did terrible damage, without saving lives from Covid.
I expect more studies like this in the coming months, showing that the costs of these draconian policies were catastrophic and the benefits were small or non-existent.
Throughout this whole pandemic, we have seen public health officials, politicians, and a large majority of the public use conventional wisdom and unsupported narratives as the basis for their policies and worldview. I think a large part of our challenge in clawing out of this is that many of these folks had no interest in truth or facts to start with, therefore dismissing the facts and truth that arise now.
I honestly have little interest anymore in trying to convince people to change their stance on masks/lockdowns/vaccines/treatments and more or less leave them to their own miserable lives, so long as they leave me to mine. Those wanting to push the issue get more than they bargained for.
Yes -- more studies proving that skeptics were right from the beginning, yet there are colleges and schools doubling down on their so-called mitigation measures. As if they are rushing to get as many people vaccinated and boosted as possible before everything implodes. Boosting healthy college kids, mandates for health care workers, people being denied life-saving treatment because they are unvaccinated (ie transplants.) It needs to end. But truly, there is a large segment of the population who are truly terrified and they aren't getting back to normal anytime soon.
