This video of incoming CDC Director, Mindy Cohen, former Director of Health during North Carolina's Covid response, does not give us great confidence that we are headed in the right direction. That being said, she is no, Rachel Levine, or Barbara Ferrer but she’s no Joe Ladapo either.
I'm not familiar enough with incoming CDC Director, Mindy Cohen, to say for certain, but so far what I see and hear is a complete lack of leadership qualities. She will follow directions as provided to her from the powerful interests that drive our country, without question, which is why she has been selected. Further justification for completely starting over with a new apolitical organization to replace the CDC that has strong guardrails for their scope and function.
