Indeed, as I noted in my own piece, entitled, "Masks and Me: How Did We Get Here?", (https://libertarianinstitute.org/articles/masks-and-me-how-did-we-get-here/ ) history has not been kind to the cult of mask. No doubt, people will recognize some of the pictures in that piece, dating back to 1918! Simply put, if masking "worked" there should be a plethora of published data, including RCTs, showing it. Instead, all we have are half-assed proxy tests and the (all-too-common) poorly-designed pseudo-experiments, A.K.A., propaganda pieces, from the CDC.

"Certainly the teachers are the ones to help to a more reasonable frame of mind."

Well, I gave it my best to help to a more reasonable frame of mind at my school during Covid, 100 years after Miss Regan did so for her colleagues and students during the Spanish Flu. I lost my job over it, though; I wonder how Miss Regan made out....

I blame Trump for mask hesitancy in 1918.
