The COVID-19 pandemic has been a crucible for examining the interplay between public health interventions and mental health outcomes. A recent study published in JAMA Network scrutinizes this very issue, detailing the correlation between community mobility and depressive symptoms among American adults.
I have been saying this since DAY ONE. There was never any need for a study of any kind to understand this. It is merely common knowledge and a basic understanding of humanity, not to mention an understanding of basic human nature and the WILL OF GOD, that could tell ANYONE with a single firing braincell NEVER, EVER to do ANYTHING even remotely like what the ASININE public "health" bureaucrats suggested! These policies DESTROYED people, communities, the economy, congregations, jobs, families, marriages, educations, friendships, children's development and MORE. Those who did not see that coming are literally, IMO, BRAINDEAD. Thank you for writing this....sad that anyone needs a smart writer to point this out.
Public health strategies? You mean public health mandates and directives that have nothing to do with anybody's health. I don't trust the measures for depression. Like the measurements for blood pressure and others, they are devised to get more people into the endless drug system of healthcare. Perhaps these limits or scores are designed to declare more people mentally symptomatic in order to get them on more drugs. This is the system we are dealing with.
I just don’t buy the theory that the shut down of people during the worst of Covid causes mental health issues. Someone is pushing this false narrative. Given the level of entertainment we have at home I don’t buy the mental depression aspect of covid. Have we become so fragile that we believe this narrative?
