It’s not a “slight” chance that he will become the Republican nominee. I don’t know who you are reading or believing to think that someone else will be the nominee.
He never apologizes, so trying to get him to “own up” just will not happen. But I do believe that he now recognizes the dangers of the Deep State. He did try to reopen “by Easter,” but then something changed and he started criticizing those who re-opened too soon. And his most avid followers are dead-set against lockdowns, vaccines, etc.
In his defense, I liked that he never wore a mask (except when visiting Walter Reed). He tried to bring other people in (Scott Atlas). I first learned about hydroxychlorquine from a roundtable he conducted and Dr. Simone Gold’s book. Got some right away.
He’s not perfect. But he did get us out of WHO. And he is most assuredly NOT a globalist. That’s why he is hated so much.
Alex Jones has the best take on him, in my opinion. I watch his “Infowars” live feed on Rumble.
I've been in politics for 25 years. It is still very early in the game. At this point in 2011, Mike Huckabee was in the lead. This is Trump's high water mark. It will come down from here.
Well, we’ll see. For what it is worth, I’ve been “in politics” for longer than you have. I worked on the 1992 Clinton/Gore campaign “issues staff” in Little Rock, and served in the Clinton Administration as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control & Communications. Just saying. Not that this “appeal to authority” means much. Like I said, we’ll see😊
I'm curious in either of your brief thoughts on RFK, whether you support and agree with his politics (to the extent you'd like to share) and /or thoughts on overall viability? Thanks in advance..
I wish Trump would retire. He will not because getting attention is the reason he gets up in the morning. The chances that we will have good leadership in 2025 is not good, unfortunately.
He can not admit any of his mistakes aa any admission will be run nonstop for long after the election regardless who wins. This is not like any election cycle in the past. With all that we have allowed to transpire domestically and what China is doing not to mention Russia the one attribute needed beyond all others in a president is fight. No one has fight in them as does Trump.
During the civil war, a General out West was winning while the ones in East were not. The Generals of the eastern armies were jealous of this western general and pointed out his many flaws, Belmont turned into a rout after his inexperienced force looted the enemy’s camps and were unprepared for the counter attack that left them running for the transports. He was caught napping at Shiloh. He was a drunk. Eventually, of this general, Lincoln is reported to have said, “I can not spare this man, he fights.” Of the oft repeated claim of alcoholism, Lincoln is said to have suggested that they learn what this general drank so that he could send a barrel of it to all his commanding generals. This general was U.S. Grant.
We have a rare opportunity with Trump back in the White House. The swamp will not rest until Trump the man and his entire family is utterly destroyed. They will hound him with frivolous law suits that he will be forced to expend his fortune and time to defend against. They will do the same against his kids too. The benefit of this to us is that he has a supremely personally need to rid the country of the corruption that is called the swamp. Anyone else will not be as successful as Trump it draining the swamp because it is not as personal for them. If they fail, they will still get political points for the effort. Trump no longer cares for such points, he is fighting for the survival of his family, himself and us.
I think you’re right about high water mark. I just don’t know how high the water is. It’s a while before the real action starts. I know after supporting him for two elections I’m out.
