Can Substack readers increase the “paid” ratio of Substack writers to, say, 10 percent? Right now it’s about 1 to 4 percent paid. What we have is about 100 fairly well-known “Covid writers” taking on 40,000 salaried MSM “journalists” …. It’s the “1 percent of the 1 percent” who are actually subsidizing the world’s “freedom” writers.
The irony is that Radio New Zealand's website (an accredited NZ media source) has regularly been releasing short news stories tallying weekly deaths from COVID that don't in any way match the NZ Health Ministry's weekly numbers. I have sent them emails pointing this out but no response.

The simple fact that this woman is still in circulation, in a high enough position to have effect, but in a low-enough profile position that those who have installed her are not being challenged, is a clear example of the 'oh lets just put it all behind us, let's get on with life, what's done is done, let's not dwell on the past, let bygones be bygones, nothing to see here' mindset. Appalling really and no recipe for balanced and productive society... but I do take solace from the sheer number of folks that publish and read here on Substack.. there is clearly hope.
